CLIP: [00:00:01] Geeked.

PRINCESS: [00:00:05] Hello, geeks. I'm Princess Weekes.

TESSA: [00:00:08] And I am Tessa Netting.

PRINCESS: [00:00:09] And you are listening to the Geeked podcast, your weekly energy boost of the worlds, fandoms and stories you love.

TESSA: [00:00:16] Each week we're going to skim the surface of what's popular in Geeked culture. Then Deep dive into the lore of Netflix worlds bigger than our own.

PRINCESS: [00:00:23] Today's world hasn't come soon enough. Stranger Things four Volume two. The final two movie length chapters are finally here.

TESSA: [00:00:33] Oh, my goodness. And friends, we are going to be doing a double feature again, because A) this is our show, and we can and we must. And we will. And B) there's so much there's so much to cover. There's so much to get into. There's too many things I want to talk about too many things. So we're going to do two OK? One this week and then one next week.

PRINCESS: [00:00:59] Exactly. So next week we'll get into our speculations and all of our little guessing games and stuff. But right now, we've got to get into the fullness of these nearly 4 hours. All right, Tessa. So what has got you geeked this week?

TESSA: [00:01:16] Well, I got to say, me having covid, I wasn't able to be as geeky as normal, so I slept most of the time.

PRINCESS: [00:01:25] My poor baby.

TESSA: [00:01:28] It's all right. I will recover. I will survive. A thing that was really cool to me was I was looking up just different theories on Tik Tok and YouTube, not only about Stranger Things but about Umbrella Academy. And I was really enjoying what people had to say, especially because we knew about Stranger Things. It was like it was it was interesting to see because we had already known all the secret information and then some people were kind of on and then some people were way, way, way off, but they were so confident in their thoughts. And I was like, Oh. I appreciate the confidence, but this is not correct.

PRINCESS: [00:02:12] Yeah, it is so weird to like know the information and see everyone just kind of like speculating, speculating, speculating.

TESSA: [00:02:19] Oh, I love it. It gives me power.

PRINCESS: [00:02:21] Yeah.

TESSA: [00:02:22] It gives me power. Yes, the ultimate power. And we have to talk about these Eddie Munson meemorial reactions that I are happening because, I feel the pain and I can't wait to see everyone else's pain.

PRINCESS: [00:02:42] I literally, my friend kept just kept texting me like, oh, my God. I was like, oh, Eddie is dying. That's sad. And then he said, I didn't run away this time and I am crying. So.

TESSA: [00:02:53] Yup. Yeah.

PRINCESS: [00:02:55] The people are in mourning. They are. They are heart stoppingly sad and I, I loved Eddie. I feel so sad with them. We knew it ws going to happen.

TESSA: [00:03:06] We knew. We knew it. No one's going to be able to listen to Metallica after this.

PRINCESS: [00:03:12] Yeah. Who? And yeah. So I've also been like busy and sick, so I don't really know what's going on besides the fact that, like, Boo, Bitch is coming out and I will see anything with Lana Condor because she is an absolute angel, perfect person, deserves everything good in life. So it'll be fun to see her in, like something else, like. Like a comedy. So I'm looking forward to that. And then I also oh yeah, I'm also excited about Resident Evil because I've really, as a video game junkie, I'm very much enthused about like the way that this has come together so far. So I'm looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.

TESSA: [00:03:59] Yes. And for us to talk about it.

PRINCESS: [00:04:03] I know, I know we've had such different journeys with the show. So always fun to talk about those things together.

TESSA: [00:04:08] Absolutely. I also just want to give a shout out to my boy, Jensen Ackles, who is finally getting some praise online for being a good actor. And I'm like, Listen, bitches, I've been here. I've been here for years. I've known that this boy can act his ass off. And now just with The Boys, you guys are finally seeing it. Literally. Joe is obsessed with Jensen, like his man crush forever so we've we've been team Ackles over in this household for a long time.

PRINCESS: [00:04:39] A) Ya'll have good taste would be also if y'all watched Dark Angel y'all would have known that Jensen Ackles could act too because he is a very good in that role too.

TESSA: [00:04:47] I feel like I've seen that actually.

PRINCESS: [00:04:49] He plays two different characters in it and he's so good at both of them and he has such good chemistry with Jessica Alba and he's playing. It's like Baby Ackles. So he looks like the Twinkiest twink boy. It is.

TESSA: [00:05:02] He was also on I think he was on an episode of Wishbone.

PRINCESS: [00:05:07] Oh, Wishbone. An iconic piece of television. Absolutely. I mean, the boy the boy the boy stays employed. So I'm not.

TESSA: [00:05:17] I mean how could he not.

PRINCESS: [00:05:18] Facts. And I'll say, before we go to talk about Stranger Things, my favorite thing he's actually ever done is when he was the voice of Jason Todd in Batman under the Red Hood, because Jason Todd is my favorite Robin. So it was very fun to hear his hot voice coming out of my sad, sad baby.

TESSA: [00:05:36] Oh. Obsessed, obsessed, forever.

PRINCESS: [00:05:38] All right, so let's get into the Stranger Things.

TESSA: [00:05:43] Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, Princess.

PRINCESS: [00:05:47] All right.

TESSA: [00:05:51] Okay, are we ready? Are we ready to talk about it? And before we get into this spoiler warning, y'all big ass spoiler warning, you do not listen to what we're about to say until you have watched Episodes eight and nine, all of volume two. When you're done with that, come back and listen to this episode. Okay, Princess, what are your thoughts?

PRINCESS: [00:06:13] So, yeah, I was I was dying these last two episodes because I knew that we were going to have sadness because we always have sadness. And I just remember thinking, like, if they hurt Max, if Max hurts anymore, I'm going to lose my mind. And, like, I think, like, losing Eddie was bad enough, but if we lost Eddie and Max right after she and Lucas are going to the movies together. It's going to be hell to pay.

TESSA: [00:06:38] This was a lot. I was so stressed. I was legit stressed out when I was watching this. It was too much. It was too stressful. I'm like, Someone's going to die. And it was Eddie. And it was the worst.

PRINCESS: [00:06:51] And we knew that. Oh, my gosh. Oh, it broke me. Him choosing to go out like a knight of the roundtable was just such a mood. He and his flacks and logs. It was so emotional like. And then the kicker, the the oh, ouch! I'm hurting, is at the end when Dustin is talking to his uncle and I'm just like, if we don't build a monument to Eddie in the series finale, there should be like a mount. It's going to be like the Mount Rushmore of like Barb, Bob, and Eddie

TESSA: [00:07:23] Oh, my gosh. Mount Rushmore in stranger Things.

PRINCESS: [00:07:28] Yeah, just like the Mount Rushmore of babes that that that should have lived longer because it's exhausting.

TESSA: [00:07:35] Eddie freaking Munson, my beloved. Killed, sacrificed, sacrificing himself for a town that hated him.

CLIP: [00:07:45] That's what's killing the kids! That's the real monster.

PRINCESS: [00:07:55] I know.

TESSA: [00:07:57] Why.

PRINCESS: [00:07:58] Couldn't be me, ccouldn't be us! We would never.

TESSA: [00:08:02] Never. Sorry. Pennsylvania would not happen. Okay, like, why did they have to do it? Like, I knew. I knew it was going to happen because my favorite character always gets killed. And also, I just like you could see the signs like Eddie playing around with shields, wrestling it, almost freaking kissing Dustin in a field like Eddie always running away, saying he's not the hero. Eddie playing the most epic.

PRINCESS: [00:08:27] The hero.

TESSA: [00:08:28] I know. And then he had to be the hero at the end. You had to be the hero in the end. After playing the most epic Metallica guitar solo dedicated to Chrissy just to later be freaking slaughtered by bats.

PRINCESS: [00:08:46] A terrible way. You know what? If this was a comic book, he would just turn into Batman. And I think and I think that that was what should have happened. I was so it was so emotional. I love Dustin. Dustin has the power that women in romance novels think they have about changing a man like Dustin actually changes, makes men better. And I don't know if it's because...

TESSA: [00:09:08] He does.

PRINCESS: [00:09:09] He unlocks they're they're they're a daddy energy but like if if your man is is messing up and you know he has hope getting it together send Dustin after that because does it help those boys into shape?

TESSA: [00:09:18] He does.

CLIP: [00:09:19] Do you need to be told everything? You're not a child.

TESSA: [00:09:22] He really does.

PRINCESS: [00:09:23] It was so emotional and I think for me as well like I felt so bad for Eleven and everyone because it's like the way they're like, Oh, she's never lost before. It's like, yeah, girl. Shit got wrecked, including daddy. Daddy is dead. I mean, rest in pieces.

TESSA: [00:09:41] Thank God. Thank god. I was. I thought he died back in friggin, whatever. That the first time the Demogorgon got him, I'm like, okay, he's risen. I guess I'm like, Let's have him gone, Papa. No more.

PRINCESS: [00:09:55] Yeah, it was big Palpatine energy. Like, somehow Papa has returned and I was like, and I did not ask for it. No, nobody missed Papa.

TESSA: [00:10:03] No.

PRINCESS: [00:10:04] Nobody missed Papa at all. So that was a bummer.

CLIP: [00:10:08] Hello, Eleven. I know. You're frightened of me.

TESSA: [00:10:14] I was just going to say I liked how the helicopter, like, shot him right in the ass.

PRINCESS: [00:10:19] As he deserved. As he deserved. I mean, like, that character is just like giving toxic everything. I'm just like,.

TESSA: [00:10:28] Oh, 100 Percent.

PRINCESS: [00:10:28] I just wanted my babies to be free of him, especially Eleven. So I'm just like, goodbye, forever. Farewell. So, yeah, I was just over him and everything, but it was it was good to see Eleven fully come back into her power again, because I was I know for me, I was really like, okay, it's time for her to start slicing and dicing these Demagorgons.

TESSA: [00:10:52] Oh, yeah. And also, she not only, like, has her powers back, but they seem to have evolved or changed or they are starting to change because like while she was in the upside down and Mike like told her to fight, she she removed Veccna's tentacles from around her neck. And I'm wondering, like in that moment, was she controlling the upside down or was she just like sort of fighting Vecna, Because yeah, if she can tap into the same powers that he can, then that's going to be huge.

PRINCESS: [00:11:32] Yeah, I think we talked about that with the last episode that we really feel like she's almost the creator of the upside down, like she's its true master, but like tapping into that much psychic ability is like very just difficult because we still got those nosebleeds. So like, yeah, I was just like, I was just like, man, Eleven is going to be so pissed off and angry, rightfully so. And they better watch out.

TESSA: [00:11:55] I know.

PRINCESS: [00:11:56] She's not playing around and I just. Listen. Will needs... Him And Jonathan. Jonathan did one good thing this season and that was tell Will that he will love them no matter what. And I'm just like, that's right. You you said someone needs to support this little gay boy because he is struggling. And no one is paying attention. And I am furious.

TESSA: [00:12:16] I couldn't take it, I couldn't take it. And I was so I was just waiting like the whole last episode. I was like waiting for him to come out. And I'm like, when is this happening? I was like, when is when is this going to happen? And then it didn't happen. And I was disappointed and I was like, Okay, I guess we need to say save something for the final season, but I am glad that Jonathan was finally useful.

CLIP: [00:12:36] Wow. Wow. That's clever.

TESSA: [00:12:38] And finally, he was a good older brother, to Will. But, like, more people need to show up for Will. More people. More of his friends should be hugging him, supporting him, carrying him. Like do we do we forget? Do we forget about your one friend? Like, I cannot. I can't.

PRINCESS: [00:12:54] Honestly. Even even Wynona was, like, off. Not like, you know, I was like, this is the first time she hasn't said Will's name in like three, four, three or four seasons. Like, she's always like, Will, Will, Will, in this season, it was like it was all about her and Hopper finally getting it on. Which, I mean, here's the thing. I don't dislike it inherently. I just I think Joyce has so many more interesting things to be doing than.

TESSA: [00:13:23] True.

PRINCESS: [00:13:23] Than Hopper.

TESSA: [00:13:25] The mom energy is better than like I'm in love with him like my old flame. It's like, okay enough.

PRINCESS: [00:13:31] Because, like that's her thing. Like, she's the mom...

TESSA: [00:13:34] The Organizer.

PRINCESS: [00:13:34] To see through- the organizer who can see through all the subterfuge. And it's like, we need you here in Hawkins. Like, there's no- and there's no way she would have left her children to go to Russia for that manay days. I know, I know that was latchkey kid territory in the eighties. But like, come on. Come on.

TESSA: [00:13:52] Yeah. She did not seem like stressed or worried about checking in on them. And it's like, hello?

PRINCESS: [00:13:58] Right.

TESSA: [00:13:59] Are you just like, okay, we're cool. I guess you trust Jonathan. I don't know. I was I was kind of mad about all that. I don't I just want to talk about the the final episode because it was so, so freaking epic. Like, I'm furious about Eddie, but that final episode, man, like the Pensive battle in Max's patronus memory. Like what? Like, I loved it. Like I like Vecna goes to prom.

PRINCESS: [00:14:29] It was so good.

TESSA: [00:14:29] I was like, Hell yeah. El comes into the rescue. There is that moment. There's that one moment where Elle and Vecna over just in the middle of the dance floor. And it seemed like they're going to do like a dance off or something.

PRINCESS: [00:14:44] Dance. And you were like this. You're like, why couldn't I be at prom with Vecna?

TESSA: [00:14:49] Right. Exactly. I was like, he just needs someone to go to prom with. He just never went to prom. I'll go with you.

PRINCESS: [00:14:58] You're like, Listen, I got you. Will you jump by jump Jack. Yeah, it was really it was just really emotional to see her in that in that situation. And like, even though that's kind of the thing, too, is like I was like. Are they going to die. Then I realized, Oh, we still have, like, 20 minutes of the episode left. They're fine. That's the one thing about streaming that is that, like, you can see the ticker, so you're like, Oh, they're not it like. But I was just. I was so scared. They were biting on Steve.

TESSA: [00:15:27] Oh, I Know.

PRINCESS: [00:15:28] Steve. Steve is going to mutate into, like, a super.

TESSA: [00:15:32] Batman.

PRINCESS: [00:15:33] Superman bat or something because he was getting tore up from the floor up. But I was into it also. I love. I love Will being like, babe, babe, you're the heart of the team. The power of love.

TESSA: [00:15:49] Oh, my God. I love it. Shut up. I fucking love that shit. I cried. I cried.

PRINCESS: [00:15:56] Me too, me too. My captain planet ass was like, heart is the most powerful thing. You don't know. This is a Sailor Moon shit.

TESSA: [00:16:03] I couldn't, also like he's pouring his heart like out frigging oblivious ass Mike And then aafter he says it, he, like, looks away and cries, like, secretly. And it's like, we've all fucking done that. I like just good feel that and and it's like, Oh my God, I can not.

PRINCESS: [00:16:22] I'm sittiing here, like, It's okay, baby stream Heartstopper, it's going to better, it's going to be ok. It's going to be okay. I was so like and that's when like, you know, he's just sitting here like being say and gya anad I'm just like and Jonathan is like, my brother is sad and gay and I'm just like, yes, well, I'm glad you could stop getting high and then, realize that you dufus. Like, so frustraaating

TESSA: [00:16:44] He deserve someone to love him and play DND and Nintendo with him forever justice for Wiill.

PRINCESS: [00:16:53] Justice for Will, honestly. What did you think about Nancy? Because I was like, I know that's that's not your fave, but she was holding it down. She be holding it down.

TESSA: [00:17:02] My- I love her. My entire my entire thoughts on Nancy have changed. She's one of my new favorite characters. She really stepped it up for me. Like these last two episodes, she was bad ass. She's the one that, like, held everything together. She's the only one that had a plan. No one else had any, you know, any sort of things or ideas or. Nope, nope. Just all listening to Nancy and God Bless. And her, like, taking that shotgun and just, like, shoot. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

PRINCESS: [00:17:35] It was so good.

TESSA: [00:17:36] Obsessed.

PRINCESS: [00:17:36] I mean, like, I. I believe in Nancy's Second Amendment, and that's really it. Nancy can have the guns. I trust her with it at this point.

TESSA: [00:17:44] Oh my god, them going to the gun store. I was like, this.

PRINCESS: [00:17:47] That was tr- triggered. Triggered. I was like triggered and also like Erika going to like save her brother like look like I love that they love each other like that. So many cute moments and I'm just like Sinclairs forever. Sinclair squared. But yeah, when Lucas was like, dude, like, can you just calm down, sir? Can you, do you not realize that we are in a horror movie, right? And that this is not Satan. This is more powerful than Satan, okay, this is DND.

TESSA: [00:18:17] Exactly. It was. And it all just led to that crescendo fighting moment. And then in that moment, they remixed that Kate Bush song with the Stranger Things theme song. And I was living.

PRINCESS: [00:18:32] Dying. I need the vinyl. Like, I need the vinyl of it now.

TESSA: [00:18:38] Also! Also the one good thing that Hopper did, the one good thing is when he cut off that demagorgen's head like Neville, I was like, cheering.

PRINCESS: [00:18:47] Yes. He was in his Gryffindor bag.

TESSA: [00:18:49] All of them are such Gryffindors.

PRINCESS: [00:18:51] All of them were good. Like, I feel like Erika's actually they're Hermione like I reaalize It's like it's not. It's not Nancy. Nancy is is Ginny.

TESSA: [00:19:00] She's Ginny for sure.

PRINCESS: [00:19:00] Better Ginny. Yeah, but-

TESSA: [00:19:02] She's more like Leia. Han and Leia is thaat is Steve and Nancy.

PRINCESS: [00:19:07] Yes, Steve and Nancy, there it is.

TESSA: [00:19:09] Right. I know.

PRINCESS: [00:19:10] I still don't want that to happen, but.

Speaker 3 [00:19:11] I don't either. I don't either. But what I was looking at it-

PRINCESS: [00:19:14] The vibes were there.

TESSA: [00:19:15] Yeah, okay. I see what you're doing.

PRINCESS: [00:19:20] Yeah, I agree. Yeah, it was a lot. And I definitely feel like we're not going into speculation too much, but I definitely feel like the ending was very much saying that Will has some sort of power, and I'm hoping that now that Max has been, also been a victim and survivor of the upside down shenanigans, that hopefully she too will have some powers and will have some Tri-Force up in here between Max, Eleven, and Will, but we'll get more into that next episode. But I'm just I'm just happy that Max didn't die because I was.

TESSA: [00:19:57] Did you think she was going to?

PRINCESS: [00:19:59] I definitely did, because I was like, those are major injuries. This is the 1980s. Yeah. The technology, you know what I mean? It's not like-

TESSA: [00:20:07] When- when her bones were like, ccrack crack - oh, it's over.

PRINCESS: [00:20:10] It's over for her. It's over for her. It's over, fam.

CLIP: [00:20:13] You lose.

PRINCESS: [00:20:14] But then she was okay. When they faded to black, I'm like, alright, she going to be okay because, you know, no body, no crime.

TESSA: [00:20:20] Right, exactly.

PRINCESS: [00:20:22] But I was terrified.

TESSA: [00:20:23] That's also how I knew Vecna was going to be okay. I was a little worried about he was going to be deaad. And I was like, no, you can't like get rid of the best villain right now. And then they looked and he wasn't there and I was like. Hell yeah. God bless.

PRINCESS: [00:20:36] No body. No crime. No body, No crime. It was very it was just a very good like break down of the terror that Vecna has created. Like he is the ultimate big boss bad that combines everything about El's world and our world together. I'm here for it in every single possible way I cannot wait to see where that goes. And I'm also just very happy that, you know, Eleven is going to do this with her own power and her own strength. She's going to be a baddie.

TESSA: [00:21:04] Yes.

PRINCESS: [00:21:05] And I cannot wait.

TESSA: [00:21:06] Oh, my gosh. Another moment that actually made me cry was and I was surprised at myself because I was never a huge Mike and El stan, shipper person. But, oh, my God, him confessing his love for her and like screaming that he's loved her every day since he first met her. Like, I love you on your good days. I love you on your bad days. I love you for exactly who you are. Like this bitch is proposing.

PRINCESS: [00:21:32] I. I'm just sitting here, like I love a man with emotional maturity.

TESSA: [00:21:37] Right?

PRINCESS: [00:21:38] What?

TESSA: [00:21:39] This is the kind of shit that Joe said to me in his vows of marriage. This is intense stuff. Like it was real.

PRINCESS: [00:21:47] Yeah, I'm just sitting here like, this is emotional.

TESSA: [00:21:51] He is the heart.

PRINCESS: [00:21:52] But yeah, I really love Mike and El's relationship. It's very like Superman and Lois, but flipped because you have, you know, the super powerful little lady and her simp. And I think that is powerful. It's feminist hashtag. We love it. Like he's not being all toxic masculinity bullshit about it. I couldn't handle that. And I do love him just saying this like, you know, I'm a stupid teenage boy who thinks stupid teenage boy things. And that's why it's hard for me to say I love you, but you a baddie.

TESSA: [00:22:25] Right, exactly.

PRINCESS: [00:22:27] Because you are! You are El! Don't let anyone steal your shine.

TESSA: [00:22:32] It's the cutest thing ever.

PRINCESS: [00:22:35] Especially, Angela.

TESSA: [00:22:35] Oh, God.

PRINCESS: [00:22:36] Everyone loved Eleven.

TESSA: [00:22:37] We don't know. She might have died. She might have been in one of those craters.

PRINCESS: [00:22:43] Thems the breaks, right? Yeah. I really loved how this season came together. It was very long. But I'm glad everyone is together now, right? Everything is okay, Hopper dad is back and we can finally get ready for the ultimate showdown. And no more splitting up.

TESSA: [00:23:14] Yes, no more. I mean, I definitely want to get into this more our next episode, but I'm actually kind of glad that they fought Vecna from three different locations and not all together yet, because I personally want to save that for the final boss battle.

PRINCESS: [00:23:31] Oh, for sure.

TESSA: [00:23:31] So that was like the one thing where I'm like, okay, I get it. And it was cool having them all separate just because we hadn't really seen that before with Stranger Things too much. So it was a way to switch it up just a little bit, and I think it made it less boring because to be fair, like up to this season, even though this I do agree like it was a little long, but up until this season it was getting kind of repetitive. And I think that this season to me and to other friends that I've talked to, it's really like shaken things up a little bit and brought you back to kind of like the beginning, like sort of that first season, that like intrigue, that giving more lore, giving more plot. Like it's like, yeah, it's not just all about here's this character and this new character that we're going to fall in love with and then die. Here is another Demogorgon. The Demogorgon is back. Let's like it's you know what I mean? It's like there's only so many times that we could've done that.

PRINCESS: [00:24:31] Yeah, I agree. And I think it's because, like, it's the best kind of filler, like, you know, in anime when the filler helps develop characters more and helps you get from point A to point B a lot better, I feel like you definitely needed a season like this. Especially because there's just so much to do. Every single moment of it. I was so in love. Like I really loved this season so much.

TESSA: [00:24:54] Yes, I did, too. I was, I'm telling you, I was really, really stressed before watching this. The entire time I was watching this, I was invested. I- like it didn't feel like the last episode. The first episode, I was just like, okay, okay, let's get to the last episode we get it, we get it. We're all getting there. But like, that last episode was long and it didn't feel long, but it felt n- like it felt long but necessary, you know, because I sometimes like long things if it makes sense. Like I don't like things that drag. But to me, yeah. Besides the Russia parts, which I was upset about. It did not drag.

PRINCESS: [00:25:34] I still don't really understand what they're- like. Maybe I'm dumb. I still don't know what the Russians are doing. Like, I feel like I'm, like, ok-.

TESSA: [00:25:42] So. It's. So the show started. I actually looked this up because I was feeling.

PRINCESS: [00:25:49] Ok, please explainer.

TESSA: [00:25:50] I was a little confused as well because I had forgotten because I hadn't seen it in a in a while. So the shows started with Papa like recruiting a group of superpowered kids to serve as weapons in the Cold War. Like, that was like that was the reason. And then Eleven was attempting to remotely spy on the Russians. And that's when she accidentally opened the portal to the upside down. Not the original time with Vecna, but when she opened it again and and that's when it was he was like, triggered. And he's like, Oh, okay. Or I mean, some people say that Vecna isn'tt, in the first season. I think Vecna is in the first season. But that's that's something else as well. But then in season three, the Russians came to Hawkins. And then in this season we have like this entire Russian storyline and some people think that it's sort of leading to the end of the Cold War because the timing kind of sort of like lines up. And there is this one story, but I have no idea if this is just like some crazy theory or if this is actually going to matter. But apparently Gorbachev and Reagan, when they were like having their meeting and talking about ending the Cold War, they talked about aliens and how they would- if aliens were to attack, they would help the other side. And basically, like be there for the other side.

PRINCESS: [00:27:11] Oh, my God. So it's going to be like, first we end the Cold War through through aliens. Aliens, you know, better than better than than Reagan, I guess. All right.

TESSA: [00:27:23] I think that's a little too much. But I do think I personally think it was connected to the Cold War. That was sort of the storyline in the beginning. I think they went a little too far and there was no big reason unless we find out that Henry had some crazy Russian connection that we did not know about. Like did he go on a Russian holiday? Or like there's some sort of memories that he has in Russia? I have no idea. So. Do you know what I was actually really shocked that didn't happen in these last two episodes, is that they figure out that the main thing to defeat Vecna is figuring out like the person's favorite song, and that takes them into like an expecto patronum happy memory. And but why do they not go around and figure out everybody's favorite song? Like, I was stressed.

PRINCESS: [00:28:15] They're not protagonists like we are .because that's literally we literally were like, What song would it be?

TESSA: [00:28:20] Exactly.

PRINCESS: [00:28:21] And the people have said, like, so many people are going to get saved by WAP. So I'm really happy that, you know, that that is happening for for society. But yeah, it was very weird, that they do like what, what's their song? It's just like you should have you should have 17 million copies of this song at all times.

TESSA: [00:28:40] Right. It's like I feel like you would go around in a circle and tell everybody your favorite song. Cause that's the one thing. Just in case Vevnaa decides to grab you, they'll be ready to play it. We have a playlist ready to go.

PRINCESS: [00:28:52] Yeah. I was like, Dustin should have, like, made, like, a mixtape for them of, like, all of their favorite songs and, aall right, track one. And you have been like, turn the disk!

TESSA: [00:29:00] Princess, Ok. I have an idea. This is what we have to do for next episode. Okay? We are going to create that playlist. We're going to figure out all the character's favorite 80 songs that represent them.

PRINCESS: [00:29:16] Oh my God. Yes, I'm ready. Okay, we're going to. All right. We'll do it. We'll save them. We'll save them for themselves.

TESSA: [00:29:22] Right.

PRINCESS: [00:29:22] Save them from their own mistakes. No, I love that. That's amazing. We're so smart.

TESSA: [00:29:26] We are. Okay. What about Harper and Eleven? Their little cute little reunion? Daddy's home.

PRINCESS: [00:29:33] You know, when you lose one, Dad, it's great to have a backup, dad, just in case. I mean, I really I say this with all love like I love. I'm glad for Eleven that Hopper is back.

TESSA: [00:29:46] Yes.

PRINCESS: [00:29:47] I'm waiting to see what's going to happen, because right now I think what I'm waiting for, I'm waiting for this next season to justify for me why Hopper is not dead. You know what I mean? Like, I feel like that character is very, like, there to be like the tank when push comes to shove, and that's going to be less and less useful. As the series. ..

TESSA: [00:30:12] Interesting.

PRINCESS: [00:30:13] It has been less useful and less useful as the series progresses. And so I'm like, okay, what is this connection between Harper and Eleven leading up to? So I guess I'm willing to see where that storyline fully goes. But I am very happy that Eleven is happy because she deserves one father that's not going to turn her into a test subject. We all deserve that. We all deserve one good parent. At least.

TESSA: [00:30:38] Please. And, Princess, I also just need to know personally, what are your thoughts on pineapple on pizza? Because that was-

PRINCESS: [00:30:48] Oh, yes. That that was that was such a deep cut. I was like, wow, you guys are really going there. I don't care. My girlfriend loves it. And she would because she's a chaotic asexual.

TESSA: [00:31:00] I also love it. So.

PRINCESS: [00:31:02] Yeah, and you're also chaotic. I mean, I think it's fine. I think.

TESSA: [00:31:05] It's fine. I don't know. Some people get mad, but you're just like whatever. It's pizza.

PRINCESS: [00:31:11] Who cares? I mean, we put anchovies on pizza, so I'm like, you know. Whicch I'm like, It tastes good, but I'm like, I don't know who thought of this.

TESSA: [00:31:19] That's too much.

PRINCESS: [00:31:20] I guess the Italians. But I'm just like, we put enough crap on pizza that I'm not going to be offended by pineapple. I like olives on my pizza, so whaat do I know.

TESSA: [00:31:29] Oh! Joe's an olive person. I can't do the olives. I feel like olives is more controversial than pineapple. Honestly.

PRINCESS: [00:31:37] Really?

TESSA: [00:31:38] I think you either like olives or you don't like olives. It's one or. The other.

PRINCESS: [00:31:42] I love olives. Black, black olives, banana peppers.

TESSA: [00:31:45] But see that's what I'm saying though.

PRINCESS: [00:31:46] Half sausage. When I don't want to eat meat, I get spinach. Like I really turn the pizza into, like, a margarita salad. It's like I want all my veggies and also flatbread.

TESSA: [00:31:57] But see, Princess, you don't have strong opinions on pineapple on pizza, but you do have strong opinions on olives because you love olives. I'm saying, like, if I ask someone if they like olives, they'll be like, Oh, I love olives. Or I'm like, Oh, no, yeah, I can. I don't like olives. So it's interesting.

PRINCESS: [00:32:11] Yeah, well, you know what? That's okay. We want we won't have to worry about that. I'm never going to make I'm never going to force my preference. I'm so pro-choice, guys. I'm never going to force anyone to consume anything in their bodies that they don't want to consume, because that's a normal thing that should happen in the world.

TESSA: [00:32:31] God Bless.

PRINCESS: [00:32:32] Anyways.

TESSA: [00:32:38] So Princess, what is your one more thing I got to know because we got we could go on forever and we got to save some for next week. So.

PRINCESS: [00:32:47] That's true.

TESSA: [00:32:48] What's your one more thing?

PRINCESS: [00:32:49] All right. If I had to say so. One more thing. If you are going into the upside down with your friends, please bring better forms of communication. Like. Besides, light. You got to like you got to test those walkie talkies down there, you know, have a better plan for getting all your friends out of the bats. I know for you, Tessa, I would have seven contingency plans. So make sure that you have backup plans when you're fighting demons. Everyone.

TESSA: [00:33:19] Yeah. I mean, that is very smart. My one more thing would be rest in peace, Eddie.

PRINCESS: [00:33:27] R.I.P.

TESSA: [00:33:28] He never got to play DND with Will, he never got to see Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy.

PRINCESS: [00:33:35] Oh, my God.

TESSA: [00:33:35] He never got to graduate. It was his year.

PRINCESS: [00:33:39] It was his year.

TESSA: [00:33:41] I hate it. I hate this.

PRINCESS: [00:33:42] He'll never see Batman 89. He'll never see Batman 89. That's really that's a great tragedy.

TESSA: [00:33:50] And it's just, you know what. You know what also, I have one more thing as well. I'm pissed that when Dustin was crying over Eddie, I wish that Steve and Nancy and Robin all could have found him. Steve could have comforted Dustin, and then they would have all had, like, this group moment of sorrow for Eddie. Like, nobody was sad that he died except for Dustin. I'm like, Bitch, what? why isn't anyone else sad.

PRINCESS: [00:34:15] That's because Dustin is an empathetic king.

TESSA: [00:34:17] God.

PRINCESS: [00:34:19] Nancy, Jonathan and Steve were too busy working out their throuple breakdown, too.

TESSA: [00:34:24] So, yes, I got to say, is. Eddie, wake up. I don't like this. Eddie, wake up. Have you heard that on TikTok?

PRINCESS: [00:34:34] I have. Oh, my God. I'm just like, I agree. I want I hope that he gets a good cameo. If we had to have a Billy cameo, then we can have an Eddie Cameo.

TESSA: [00:34:43] They all have to cameo. It has to be the Jedi Ghost. They all have to. bethere.

PRINCESS: [00:34:48] Defeat them, El, like I did before you.

TESSA: [00:34:51] Yes, yes, yes. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

PRINCESS: [00:34:56] We're such nerds, but I'm so excited. Yeah, that was, what a good season of television. I know so many people who are like, I didn't really know how I felt about stranger things, and they're like, This is a good season of television, so I'm here for it.
